Beat the Heat With This Summer Stress Program

From increased traffic to scorching heat, summer conditions can put your most valuable turf to the test. Having the right tools can make all the difference, preparing your greens to thrive under pressure.

The combination of Contec DG® 18-9-18 and Foltec® LQ SeaThru™ with Fulvic Acid delivers premium nutrition, improves root structure, and strengthens overall stress tolerance. From the ground up, this duo builds strong, resilient turf ready for the challenges of the season.

When considering a granular slow-release fertilizer for summer turfgrass fertility, it's important to utilize one that provides extended feeding, promotes strong root structure, and avoids burning.

Contec DG 18-9-18 features dual nitrogen sources -- MUtech® slow-release nitrogen, which provides long-lasting nutrition without excessive growth, and ammonium sulfate, which delivers a rapid color response. With Dispersing Granule (DG) Technology, granules move quickly through the turf canopy and maximize product efficacy.

For best results, spoon-feed at 2.8 lbs/1000 ft2 (0.5 lb N/1000 ft2).

Boosting granular fertility with liquid solutions is a great way to keep turf strong through summer's challenges.

Foltec LQ SeaThru with Fulvic Acid features sea plant extract and fulvic acid, a combination proven to improve root growth, soil microbial activity, stress tolerance, and overall plant quality.

Unlike other sea plant extracts, which can bring foul odors and lack solubility, SeaThru clear sea plant extract delivers a highly-soluble formulation without the unwelcome smells.

Research Summary: In a greenhouse trial, Kentucky bluegrass treated by SeaThru with Fulvic Acid retained acceptable quality for one week longer after drought initiation than the untreated turfgrass. Turfgrass color was extended through three weeks after drought initiation by SeaThru with Fulvic Acid application compared to only one week for the untreated turfgrass. Effective SeaThru with Fulvic Acid application rates were 4 oz/M.

INTRODUCING 3-2-1 with HYDRA CHARGE®

This granular, biosolid-based fertilizer includes a proprietary blend of two surfactant technologies paired to improve water penetration and retention. Homogenous granules of both slow- and quick-release nitrogen help prevent localized dry spots and sustain turfgrass performance through periods of water stress.
